Drying yields of wet grubs to defatted insect protein - we currently have the 200kg of live grubs dehydrating to 67kg, which in turn gets rendered to 43.5kg of defatted insect meal. Feed conversion ratios for how many live grubs and frass are produced per tonne of waste input. • This varies considerably depending on the waste type, nutritional value and to some extent particle size • 15% BCE to 25% with above 20% being good - using a nutritious waste feedstock.
